Jason’s professional background spans Indigenous relations leadership, public service, and frontline policing. In previous Indigenous relations leadership roles, he built and strengthened partnerships with Indigenous communities and organizations, supported the implementation of UNDRIP- and TRC-informed approaches, and contributed to advancing culturally safe and inclusive service delivery within institutional environments. His work has often involved advising teams on how engagement strategies, operational decisions, and governance frameworks influence long-term trust, regulatory risk, and successful collaboration with Indigenous partners. These environments require careful assessment of complex situations and a high level of responsibility in circumstances where safety, confidentiality, and accountability are paramount. Jessica is known for bringing careful analysis and thoughtful evaluation to complex organizational environments. She works comfortably with leadership teams and project stakeholders to examine how strategies, operational decisions, and governance approaches influence relationships with Indigenous communities.
